Performance Engineer

Mid / Senior

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
At least 5 years’ experience with developing and implementing applications.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, MIS or similar field is required.
Previous software development/developer experience is required.
Solid understanding of infrastructure components, including system, storage, networking, security, and their role in an enterprise architecture.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments including planning, organizing, and providing status on a variety of tasks, assignments, projects, and reports.
High attention to detail, be well organized and be a self-starter.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

Technical Skills:

Understanding of web application technologies including. NET/ C # / C++ / Java is required.
Knowledge of monitoring middleware including WebSphere / Java/. NET application servers/ MQ Series and various databases.
Scripting experience with Python/ Shell/ Perl/ UNIX/ Java Script etc.
In depth experience using any APM tool like Dynatrace (highly preferred) and identifying bottlenecks and code issues.

Preferred Skills:

Hands on experience on the administration side of Application/Infrastructure/Network monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, -New Relic, AppDynamics, Solarwinds, Oracle OEM, Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic stack.
Solid Oracle/ SQL Server / My SQL / DB2 experience
Previous experience working with a Scrum team
