For example, if a user seeks to apply for a job, the Services may redirect that user to an employer’s career site to submit a resume or to file an application. Depending on the type of Services used, we collect different types of personal information from you. Our Services are available to prospective employers (collectively “Employer” or “Employers”), to persons seeking employment or who register for or participate in our Services and offerings (collectively “Candidate” or “Candidates”). We primarily obtain personal information about candidates that is required by us and our Employer partners to identify the Candidate who has the right mix of skill, background, experience, and talent or to otherwise make the right hiring decisions.

Information about users.

We collect the following personal information from candidates:

  • Name

  • Address

  • Phone Number

  • Email address

  • LinkedIn profile

  • Resume / CV

  • Username and password

  • Work and educational history

  • Company and job title or details

  • Other information contained on resumes and / or cover letters submitted by Candidates

  • Information about the jobs applied by the Candidate

  • Optional information such as race, gender, ethnicity, disability, veteran


Information about Employers

We collect the following Information from Employers and any of their representatives that might interact with us on a one time or ongoing basis:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Company

  • Phone number

  • Username and password

  • Content posted by Employers for their company information page

Meytier makes content provided by Employers about their business, offices, culture and their commitment to diversity available to Candidates on the site for the purpose of providing hiring services.

Social media information. You may choose to log on to the Website or to other Services using a third-party social media or authentication provider service, such as LinkedIn. If you do so, we may from time to time collect all or only certain public information from social media providers or third-party websites, including your username and email address and publicly available profile information, such as your public profile URL, profile photo, connections, industry, and location, as well as other information associated with your social media account, that is made available by the social media/authentication provider terms of service.

Surveys.From time to time, we may ask our Candidates and/ or Employers to voluntarily participate in surveys, contests, promotions, and sweepstakes which may involve the collection of other personal information.

Other information collected automatically through our Services. We may also collect information automatically through our Services such as but not limited to your IP address, domain name, your location, your ISP, the date and time of your visit to the Website or Mobile Application, your use of the Services during your current session and over time (including the pages you view and the files you download), your computer’s or mobile device’s operating system and browser type, and your software and hardware attributes (including device IDs). We collect such information using a variety of mechanisms such as for example, Server Logs, Cookies, etc.:

  • Server Logs. When you visit the Website, we automatically receive and record certain information from your computer (or other device) and your browser. This may include data such as your IP address, the pages you visit, or features you use on the Website, and your general geographic location as inferred from your IP address. This information enables us, among other things, to analyze how many applicants for a specific position learned about it on Meytier.

We use the information we glean for a number of purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Providing our core Services, which include creating and managing your Meytier Site account and connecting you with potential Employers.

  • Fulfilling the terms of any agreement you have with us, respond to your requests, or otherwise complete a transaction that you initiate.

  • Sending you transactional communications (such as account confirmations and notifications) or promotional and marketing communications.

  • Reviewing, evaluating, and verifying the credentials and experience of Candidates, including thorough screenings and reference checks.

  • Posting job notices and other company information for Employers.

  • Transmitting or redirecting users’ job applications to Employers.

  • Sending administrative communications related to the Services.

  • Communicating with Candidates and / or Employers through email notices, newsletters, and updates, including promotional communications about topics, products, jobs, and services that we believe will be of interest.

  • Administering surveys, contests, or promotions.

  • Engaging in analysis and research concerning the Services, improving Candidates and / or Employers’ experiences with the Services, and otherwise enhancing the quality of our products and services.

  • Building and training data science models to help find better matches between Employer requirements and Candidates.

  • Helping Candidates better represent their skills and achievements.

  • Improving user experience with our Services and for other purposes related to the delivery and performance of our services.

  • Creating custom experiences for Candidates and / or Employers and tailoring our Services to each user’s interests and preferences.

  • Supporting our business operations and performing accounting, auditing and other internal functions.

  • Detecting, preventing and responding to fraud, intellectual property infringement, violations of law or of our Terms of Use, our policies, or other misuse of Services.

  • Complying with and enforcing applicable legal requirements, contractual obligations and our policies.

  • Complying with legal or regulatory requirements, or protecting our rights and interests, as described below under “Legal Purposes”.

  • Compiling and sharing aggregated information.

  • Counting visitors to the Website and analyzing how visitors use the Services.

  • Engaging in analytics or targeted advertising as described in the “Third-Party Analytics and Targeted Advertising” section below.

  • If you are a Candidate and one of our Employer partners has a job opportunity available or is seeking Candidates.

  • With service providers, including our cloud services provider.

  • As required by law in order to comply with a subpoena or other legal process, or to comply with government reporting obligations; however, we will give you as much notice as possible of receipt of a subpoena or other legal process or requirement, obliging us to disclose your personal information so that you can take measures if you choose to, to stop disclosure or restrict disclosure of your personal information.

  • To third-party service providers. We might use third-party service providers to help us manage and improve the Services. We will provide these parties with only the information they need to perform their services and work closely with them to ensure that your privacy is respected and protected. These service providers may collect and/or use your information, including Personal Information, to assist us in achieving the purposes discussed in this Privacy Policy. For example, we use third parties to help us manage our information systems, deliver marketing and administrative communications, and manage our relationships with the people and companies that use our Services.

For example, the Services may allow a Member to upload a resume or job history to share with an Employer through the Website. The collection, use, and disclosure of your information will be subject to the privacy policies of the third-party websites or services, and not this Privacy Policy.

Sanitized or aggregated information. We also may compile and share sanitized or aggregated information about users of the Services, such as by publishing a report on trends in the usage of the Services or sharing aggregated information about historical and real-time trends in employment. We also may share sanitized or aggregated information about the numbers, types, or origins of Candidates who submit job applications on the sites of our business partners or who click on our business partners’ links on the Services (such as a job posting or article).

The laws in some jurisdictions require companies to tell you about the legal grounds they rely on to use or disclose your personal information. To the extent those laws apply- our legal grounds are as follows:

  • To honor our contractual commitments to you. Much of our processing of personal information is to meet our contractual obligations to Candidates, Employers or other individuals, or to take steps at their request in anticipation of entering into a contract with them.

  • Consent: Where required by law and in some other cases, we handle personal information on the basis of consent.

  • Facilitating useful connections between Employers and Candidates

  • Providing customer service

  • Engaging in marketing

  • Protecting our customers, personnel and property

  • Analyzing and improving our business

  1. Social Media

The Website includes social media and authentication provider functions, such as Google, and LinkedIn Sign In features, and widgets. These functions and widgets may collect information about you, including the IP address of the device you use to connect to the Internet. Your interactions with the social media/authentication provider platforms including any functions and widgets they provide, are governed by the privacy policies of the relevant third-party companies, and we strongly urge you to review their privacy policies. You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for any acts or omissions by any social media or authentication provider site or other third-party service that you choose to use in connection with this Website or with our Services.

There will likely be a delay in accessing or deleting your Personal Information from our systems if you request it. We nevertheless will retain your Personal Information in order to comply with the law, to preserve or enforce our rights to the extent permitted under applicable law., or to resolve disputes. From the last date that you used our Services or visited our Website, we will maintain any resulting Personal Information collected for at least seven (7) years unless otherwise required by applicable law. If you request to delete your info, we will not send you any marketing outreach.

Candidates are free to provide answers to none, some or all of these questions.

We maintain reasonable commercially available administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information collected through this Website. However, no method of data transmission over the Internet or data storage is 100% secure or foolproof. As such, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information.

We will retain your information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Information may persist in copies made for backup and business continuity purposes for longer than the original copy of the information.
