The Technical Delivery Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and migration of applications within the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of software development, cloud technologies, and client engagement.
The role involves overseeing technical projects, driving efficient resource utilization and technology solutions for optimal business outcomes. We are seeking an experienced candidate to play a critical role in our delivery organization shaping one of our prominent client’s technology-driven operations. Your expertise in overseeing projects from Conception to delivery will play a pivotal role in shaping our future success.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of multiple projects in different phases of SDLC simultaneously Working with Business, Technology, and Operations stakeholders to define and establish project objectives, scope, roadmap, milestones, and deliverables as applicable and aligned to the delivery strategy.
Producing well-defined technical delivery plans that outline key project activities, their sequence, milestones, and delivery timelines.
Manage project scope on an ongoing basis using documented change management techniques.
Manage, motivate, and lead distributed teams in an onshore-offshore setup.
Engage with the team/leads daily to proactively identify potential risks and put a mitigation plan in place for resolving the risks. Escalate to appropriate stakeholders wherever applicable.
Drive regular working group and solution sessions with key stakeholders within technology, business, and infrastructure groups to identify and track actions effectively to support the delivery plan.
Driving discussions to socialize technical design and integration approaches with cross-impacted dependent applications teams.
Managing and tracking team’s tasks and activities to ensure quality and delivery against the plan including identifying and managing critical dependencies and coordinating with key stakeholders to address issues as applicable and required to ensure the delivery of project objectives and deliverables.
Provide weekly status reporting on sprint progress, planning, requirements gathering, and development progress against the project plan.
Overseeing “Go-Live” preparations, including creating activity checklists, and runbooks and managing post-implementation activities collaboratively with stakeholders (deployment support, issue resolution etc.)
Desired Profile:
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience in a professional software development environment.
Experience managing the full software development life cycle of enterprise applications.
Experience in the Financial or Audit industry is beneficial.
Strong experience in Azure platform services, Cloud Native Architecture, and design patterns.
Proficiency in .NET, API, Angular, OR REACT development, and recent Azure certification is highly preferred.
Technical understanding of Azure and MS tech stack, including integration services and security & monitoring tools.
In-depth knowledge of Azure Services like App Services, Web Apps, API Management, Integration Services, Azure Batch, Web Jobs, Data Stores, and Security & Monitoring tools.
Good understanding/knowledge of Azure Open AI / Generative AI.
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple technology-intensive projects simultaneously.
Motivated, highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
Hands-on experience managing enterprise application development projects with Microsoft Technology (.NET, SQL, Azure, etc.), data warehousing, and data analytics tools like Power BI / Tableau.
Experience working with Azure technologies managing Data lakes.
Working knowledge of PySpark/Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics is preferred.
Experience working in the financial sector or Audit business is a plus.
Experience-driven ability to comprehend problematic situations and make decisions independently / in consultation with the Director and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to mediate, counsel, and empathize with internal and external teams to ensure expectations are exceeded.
Excellent team management and facilitation skills.
Excellent analytical, conflict management, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
Excellent communication (written and Oral), presentation, change management, stakeholder management, and influencer skills, comfortable in direct communications with client stakeholders.
Understanding proposed design solutions; challenging decisions where they are non-strategic or have cross impacts and drive them to a conclusion; liaising with stakeholders within and outside your line of business.
Situational awareness, ability to work in war-room situations, demonstrate flexibility, and not shy to “roll up their sleeve and get their hands dirty” when the situation demands.
Compensation Range:$150k-$160k
