We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer with expertise in Fortinet Firewalls and Azure Networking to join our dynamic team. The Senior Network Security Engineer will be responsible for managing and securing our network infrastructure, with a particular focus on Fortinet firewalls, advanced network routing, and Azure networking. This role requires a deep understanding of network security principles, hands-on experience with Fortinet products, and extensive knowledge of Azure networking services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing secure network solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments. The position offers a hybrid working pattern, allowing flexibility between office presence and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage Fortinet firewall solutions to protect the organization's network infrastructure.
Configure and maintain advanced network routing protocols to ensure optimal performance and security.
Develop and implement Azure networking solutions, including Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, Load Balancers, and VPN Gateways.
Monitor network traffic and security events to identify and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for network security issues.
Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies to continuously improve the organization's security posture.
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance network security posture.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior security engineers and other IT staff.
Desired Profile:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Professional certifications such as Fortinet NSE, CCNP Security, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security engineering, with a focus on Fortinet firewalls and advanced network routing.
Extensive hands-on experience with Azure networking services and security best practices.
An understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, Layer 7 inspection and other security technologies.
Proven ability to design and implement secure network architectures in both on-premises and cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with network automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Python, Ansible) is preferred.
Compensation Range:$175k-$200k
