Citizens is seeking a Managing Director to join the Corporate Finance of our Capital Markets & Advisory team (“CM&A”). Citizens CM&A is a leading middle market investment bank that supports clients across a focused set of industry sectors (Aerospace Defense & Government Services, Business Services, Consumer, Financial Services, Gaming Lodging & Leisure, Healthcare, Industrials, Technology & Communications, Transportation & Logistics). The Corporate Finance Managing Director would come in with established Corporate and Financial Sponsor relationships within FIG sector to help facilitate strategic dialogue with existing and new bank customers. You would serve as the primary architect of client discussions and presentations, alongside Citizens Capital Markets product colleagues, while managing the origination and execution of debt, M&A, and equity transactions. Key Responsibilities:
Architect strategic ideas, research industry notes and trends to present to clients as well as internal risk management.
Establish and cultivate long-term relationships at the C-suite level of Financial Institutions clients
Collaborate on cross-sell efforts with Citizens Commercial Bankers
Help prepare and present offering materials to potential investors and rating agencies, negotiate critical structural elements with client and investors
Attend industry related conventions and conferences, to establish new and build on existing relationships while identifying industry trends
Liaise with risk management to ensure that appropriate credit and market risks are identified and addressed
Maintain effective license to operate by sustaining a high level of trust and confidence by senior line and risk management
Desired Profile:
Demonstrated, long-term client relationships
Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Investment Banking and/or Capital Markets with a top ranked investment bank or commercial bank
Proven experience working with Debt and Equity Capital Markets, and leading M&A mandates
Effective verbal and written communication and influencing skills
Highly organized with ability to multi-task
Strong credit acumen with superior market risk knowledge
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Master’s degree preferred, but not required
Series 79 & 63 licenses.
Compensation Range: $300k Base
