Key Responsibilities:
Architect and implement technical solutions based on the requirements of projects,
Conduct technical requirements gathering, technical analysis and development of tech specs,
Ensure that correct technology processes are being employed and followed,
Planning features in sprints and juggle simultaneous feature development,
Know how to deploy, manage, and maintain Stage and Production sites,
Review site for security and performance issues and advise/make improvements for deficiencies,
Conduct research and assist on new business scoping efforts,
Troubleshoot, debug and perform necessary upgrades,
Ensure deadlines are met and quality maintained.
Technical Skills:
Expertise with front-end development including HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript,
Expertise with PHP, Node, and setting up build processes with Gulp/Composer,
Expertise with WordPress, its APIs and plugins and range of integrations,
Expert knowledge developing responsive web applications for cross platform/browsers/devices (iOS, Android, IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.),
Experienced using Timber plugin and/or developing with Twig Template Engine,
Solid understanding of OOP, relational databases, and SQL for implementing database-driven, web-based applications,
Strong working knowledge of the WordPress Gutenberg editor, especially the creation and maintenance of custom blocks for unique site needs,
Experienced developing reusable code, blocks and templates,
Knowledgeable adhering to web standards and best practices for performance and accessibility (WCAG),
Experience working with source/version control platforms (Git),
Experience with shell environments and UNIX/Linux administration—need to know well enough to communicate infrastructure needs,
Experienced in executing strategies for high performance sites beyond reliance on plugins to improve performance,
Knowledge of SEO best practices,
Proven ability to manage large scale technology projects successfully,
Strong communication skills (both in person and in writing) while interacting with individuals with a range of technical understanding,
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Desired Profile:
4+ years of experience in full-stack development,
3+ years experience coding custom WordPress themes,
Strong Frontend skills and fully capable of Backend Development,
Extensive Knowledge of HTML, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Node,
Excellent Logical reasoning.
Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines,
Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills,
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (EQ),
