The Agile Program Delivery Director is accountable for ensuring delivery of the projects for which they are responsible. Their priority is providing solution that meets the project’s objectives within schedule and budget. This person will work on a team of project managers to actualize their shared goals. This person is an extremely skilled collaborator, communicator, and facilitator.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication to all project team members and stakeholders. All parties involved should be aligned on the project’s progress and motivated by the project’s direction.
Definition of a project’s features, requirements, assumptions, and limitations. An actionable approach should be clearly defined as a result of collaboration between project stakeholders and team.
Work with the Agile Delivery Team, and Product Managers to drive the definition and refinement of the program and team backlog
Work cross functionally to align strategy, methodology and execution
Facilitation of Agile and Scrum development practices. The Project Manager should embody Ascendum’s methodology and serve in a way that best meets the project needs.
Cultivation of the project team’s morale, sense of direction, and overall performance. The project team should feel empowered and responsible for executing towards the project’s goals.
Planning and tracking of project status and resources, including cost models, schedules, estimations, and risk assessments. Cross-functional team members should define project objectives and commit to those objectives as a team.
Solving the limitations of schedule, resources, and scope. The Project Manager should generate creative ideas to ensure project objectives continue to be met.
Ultimate ownership of delivering their projects.
Experience and Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree related to computer science or business management, or equivalent professional experience
8+ years of Project Management Experience, 4+ years of experience around Agile software development teams, 2+ years as a Scrum Master
Demonstrable passion for building technology solutions
