The global talent acquisition team has taken on a broad and ambitious challenge in the growth of the organization and is looking for a seasoned business leader to join the team to help drive the effort in the United States. We seek a leader to be at the core of this change; a leader who enjoys both strategy and execution; a leader who will use creativity and persistence to influence a wide range of constituencies at Orion. A leader here will get deep into ‘Agility at Scale’ and will be well positioned to take on several different operating roles as we move towards Orion of the future. We will achieve this mission by leveraging the best recruiting technologies, high quality creative content and social media messaging, and the expertise of our best-in-class recruiting.

Responsibilities in Brief:
  • Defining and implementing an improved talent acquisition operating model
  • Improving further on infrastructure (Recruiting Organization) to support all recruiting efforts
  • Improving / upgrading many of our core approaches and processes (e.g., how do we assess candidates)
  • Defining and executing a technology roadmap across our recruiting efforts
  • Ensuring fulfilment of open roles while working closely with the business leaders.
This leader would also lead engagement with recruiting directors, vertical leaders, practices and other corporate teams globally to ensure successful talent fulfilment needs. This leader has responsibility and accountability for:

Inclusive Recruiting: Model and lead the way in inclusive technical delivery, corporate and executive recruiting practices across all stakeholders and drive strategy for and execution of hiring demand. Create inclusive talent acquisition strategies, having a focus on Diversity & Inclusion across all our roles and markets in the region.
  • Recruiting at Scale: Develop a Talent Acquisition Strategy in partnership with your team, the business, and the Human Resources team, which is scalable and in tune with the Americas markets. Operate with consistency and focus on continuous improvement (process, tools, programs, etc.) to deliver greater business impact and insights. Effectively collaborate with other teams both within and outside of Talent Acquisition in support of our mission.
  • Recruiting Capability: Practice and inspire a growth mindset across the Talent Acquisition function and with hiring partners supporting agility and responsiveness to the dynamic needs of the talent market and our businesses. Help continue to evolve our global employer brand proposition.

  • Demonstrated capabilities in change management, coaching, and the ability to recognize trends and identify systemic approaches to solving problems.
  • Demonstrate success by applying fresh, creative thinking and a growth mindset to long-standing, complex challenges/problems resulting in high impact outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in managing Talent Acquisition initiatives in a large, complex, matrixed, and global business environment.
  • Experience effectively balancing and prioritizing the needs of the business with the strategies of the company.
  • Experience in guiding vendor management relationships, negotiate and contract various Talent Acquisition related tools (e.g. Job Boards, Social Media tools etc)
  • Experience developing appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms, service-level agreements and other planning and measurement tools to build accountability and measure results, impact, and cost-effectiveness.
Education and Experience:
  • 12+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), or industry experience related to role
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
  • 5+ years formal or informal leadership/managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated exceptional people management capabilities in a talent acquisition function with a history of leaving an organization stronger than it was before.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Ability to operate talent acquisition team with excellence at global scale.
    • Ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment.
