ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Looking for experienced consultants to join the Smart Procurement practice within the solutions and consulting group at Bristlecone.
Consultants with experience in strategic sourcing, category strategy development and management for direct and indirect materials and services, cost reduction, knowledge and experience in the requirements development, selection, use and deployment of digital procurement tools, value engineering, supplier and supply chain risk management in the post pandemic age, supplier diversity, sustainable sourcing and other areas of procurement excellence.
Other supply chain experience logistics, manufacturing, sales and operational planning, inventory and warehouse management etc. is also valuable but not necessary.
Prior consulting experience from leading firms is also highly recommended. Minimum years of consulting experience 10 to 12 years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
Principal candidates must have experience with engagement execution and management, client relationship management, practice building, mentoring coaching subordinates and must be able to independently lead business development efforts at current clients as well as help with identifying and winning work at new clients.
Skills And Attributes For Success Demonstrate in depth capabilities and professional knowledge in your functional area of sourcing and procurement, both direct and indirect materials and services from multiple industries. Provide mentoring and motivate diverse client engagement teams by delivering constructive on the job coaching to team members, while fostering an innovative and inclusive team oriented work environment.
Drive high quality work within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure clients are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
Build relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services.
Strive to assist our clients uncover additional areas of opportunity and manage the business development process.
Understand Bristlecone capabilities across all consulting studios and industry verticals in terms of what the firm can deliver to its clients.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Must have a bachelors degree or masters degree. MBA preferred10 to 12 years of experience of sourcing and procurement in a consulting environment
Be available to travel outside of their assigned office location as needed. Mentor lead train subordinate junior consultants on and off engagements
Deep knowledge in strategic sourcing, category strategy development and management for direct and indirect materials and services, cost reduction, knowledge and experience in the requirements development, selection, use and deployment of digital procurement tools, value engineering, supplier and supply chain risk management in the post pandemic age, supplier diversity, sustainable sourcing ESG environmental, social and corporate governance, source to pay, procure to pay, supplier relationship management, spend analytics, and other areas of procurement excellence transformation
