At Cohere Health our Machine Learning Team is focused on using unstructured clinical documents to automate and augment the prior authorization process. We do this through a combination of traditional machine learning techniques and new approaches. The team is responsible for all parts of the machine learning process, from solution design and model building to deployment and model evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide mentorship, coaching and guidance to a team of 4-5 Machine Learning Engineers.
Lead by example: writing and reviewing modular code and guiding team members in best software engineering practices.
Build reliable and scalable production machine learning systems on AWS.
Establish goals, deliverables and timelines for Machine Learning Projects
Break large ambiguous projects into smaller tractable deliverables.
Coordinate and build strong partnerships with Data Science, Product Management, Data Engineering, Application Engineering, DevOps, and Clinical teams to deliver innovative high quality Machine Learning Models
Help grow the ML team by interviewing candidates.
Be a key contributor to the strategies and goals of the Machine Learning Team.
Desired Profile:
Experience leading machine learning projects from inception to deployment
Experience coaching and mentoring machine learning engineers
3+ years experience in applied ML in the industry with a degree or higher (MS/PhD) in computer science, machine learning, mathematics or similar field
Clear understanding of model building, model maintenance and the measures that optimize models for product use
Understand experimental design and can independently perform collection, measurement, and interpretation of results
Expert in Python and pySpark
Experienced in various regression and classification approaches
Hands on experience building NLP models, using a variety of techniques
Experience working with healthcare data, Elasticsearch, OCR or graphs.
