The ML Engineer will also assist with data model development in products to strengthen Machine Learning implementation and performance.</p><p class=\"ql-align-justify\"><br></p><p class=\"ql-align-justify\"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Work with engineers and developers to add value to OwnBackup products with data analytics and problem prediction</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Enhance and expand OwnBackup products to provide customers with insights into their data&nbsp;</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Develop and own validation processes to evaluate ML performance and effectiveness</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Model raw data into clean, tested, and reusable datasets</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Document ML methods and results in ways that are understandable to engineers and customers.</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Assist UX team members integrate data visualizations into OwnBackup products</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Work with various internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Contribute to project scoping, assist in managing project priorities, and informing/escalating appropriately when external factors impact execution</li></ul><p class=\"ql-align-justify\"><strong>Desired Profile:</strong></p><ul><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Degree in Statistics-related field OR 5+ years demonstrated experience with basic statistical techniques</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Up to 5 years history with programming in Python and/or R required. Experience should include working with dataframes, text analysis, text search using regex, and visualization tools such as Tableau, Excel and/or coding visualizations using languages like Python or R, Javascript, C, C++ desired.&nbsp;</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">3+ years creating and using databases and analytics engines, including SQL-like relational databases and Spark and associated tools</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Familiarity with data visualization methods such as tree maps, heat maps, stream maps</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">General experience with data cleaning and exploratory analysis, requirements analysis, and detailed reports</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Comfortable meeting, talking to, and working with strangers</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Comfortable working outside of the area of personal knowledge to find out what the data actually means</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Experience maintaining and trouble-shooting IT systems (Unix, Windows) and network support highly desired.</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Strong research and problem-solving abilities are required</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Excellent written and spoken communication skills required</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Experience with writing technical documentation</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Experience with developing and executing automated test procedures</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Experience working with Salesforce, Servicenow, Dynamics CRM, or similar desired</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Previous experience working with a Data Science or ML team desired</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand</li><li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Ability to function independently and as part of a team under aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment, convey a strong professional image, exhibit interest and positive attitude toward all assigned work, and strive for continued improvement</li></ul>","isHybridJob":false,"isRemoteJob":false,"dateRecieved":"20211019000000","exclusiveJob":false,"isJDVerified":true,"hiringManager":"Web Imitation","maxExperience":"8","minExperience":"5","isOnPremiseJob":true,"onBehalfOfName":"OwnBackup","otherlocations":[],"experienceLevel":"Associate / Junior","annotationStatus":1,"maxSeniorityLevel":3,"minSeniorityLevel":1,"otherJobReference":"","sharpenedJobTitle":"Machine Learning Engineer","job_category_group":3,"portalLocationDisplay":"United States","educationQualification":"Baccalaureate Degree","expertise_coreskill_or_product":["Machine Learning"],"expertise_functional_area_hiring_team":"","job_id":"2617"}
