The Associate will have a variety of responsibilities and will work in close coordination with various Ares business lines, primarily with regards to the product sales strategy and ongoing product support for the full spectrum of existing Credit strategies in the private wealth distribution channel.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing support and key real-time product, investment and market updates to sales teams working with advisors, investment teams, portfolio managers and other key stakeholders on a global basis
Work across AWMS business functions including Marketing, Sales, Client Services and Private Wealth Partnerships to support product initiatives
Liaise across Ares’ investment businesses assisting in the evolution of product strategy, messaging (including content creation), and support
Market research and competitor analysis
Desired Profile:
2-5 years’ experience in investment banking, asset management, consulting, or wealth management
Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Interest and knowledge of financial markets and investment asset classes
Desire to work in a team environment and ability to cultivate strong relationships
Demonstrated ability to write effectively and strong communication and presentation skills
Superior organizational skills
Familiarity with markets, securities, investment strategies and the relevant regulatory framework
Strong judgment
Striving for excellence and driven to contribute to the company’s success.
Strong command of the full Microsoft Office suite (most notably Excel and PowerPoint)
Series 7 and 63/66 or attained within the first few months of joining the firm.
CFA Charterholder or progress towards a plus.
Outstanding record of academic achievement and professional accomplishment.
