The ideal candidate is an experienced accountant with adaptability to the needs of a fast growing global business. You should have a strong fundamental understanding of accounting, tax laws, be digitally savvy, and have good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
  • Determine internal audit scope and conduct periodic internal audit of various financial elements including Sales, Revenue recognition, Payroll, cloud hosting, other expenses and assets and liabilities 
  • Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts etc
  • Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum
  • Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
  • Assist with annual tax return filings in India and US, produce 1099s and other US federal, state and compliance-related filing requirements and collaborate with tax firms and payroll providers to file returns and reply to notices in a timely manner
  • Prepare financial reporting packages, including trended financials, variance analysis, quarterly financial presentations, and investor reporting
  • Discuss financial reports with business stakeholders and advise management on appropriate actions
  • Assist the team in preparations of Annual budgets and regular forecasts
  • Perform timely review of cloud and SaaS application spend
  • Manage multiple bank accounts with an eye towards optimizing cash flows 
  • Support legal team in creating and drafting the legal agreements with customers, partners and vendors
  • Support HR team in developing, improving and communicating the policies and procedures in compliance with statutory requirements
  • Set up and maintain various software applications for improving and automating bookkeeping, revenue management, vendor management, and sales operations
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses as needed

Desired Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration
  • 4 years of accounting, auditing or taxation experience
  • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
  • Adept at using online accounting systems or ERP and Google Workspace Suite, including Google Sheets
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Work in small teams and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
